On the ground floor at Healing Hands we have a shop. We sell products aimed at natural lifestyles including earth friendly cleaning products and skin-care.

We also stock items for all the mystics out there including candles, natural insence, crystals, statues, jewellery, books and CD's.

At Healing Hands all the products we sell in the shop are as natural as can be. We stock Green People, Faith in Nature and Lavera, all leading names in organic, green and natural skin and body care.

We also offer a bespoke aromatherapy service so we can tailor skin and body care to suit your individual needs.

To help you understand the risks, here are just a few of the synthetic chemical ingredients found in your shamoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant and other body care.

Sodium Laureth Sulphate
A synthetic detergent made using ethylene oxide used as a wetting and cleansing agent. It can cause skin and eye irritation and is used as an engine de-greaser!
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
A synthetic detergent derived from coconut oil. Prepared by sulfation of lauryl alcohol followed by neutralization with sodium carbonate. Used in up to 90% of shampoos and toothpastes for its foaming properties. Can cause drying of the skin, contact eczema and is an eye irritant.
Alcohol (Ethyl alchohol/Ethanol)
Alcohol as a solvent is widely used in the cosmetics field as an ingredient and a preservative. Since it is a fat solvent, alcohol can dry and irritate the hair and skin. Ethanol can increase the permeability of the skin and may enable unwanted impurities to be absorbed.
Fragrance
One of the leading causes of allergy and irritation in cosmetics. Symptoms can be watery eyes, reddened skin, irritation, itching or allergic reactions. 95% of the mix in most fragrances are made from synthetic chemicals. You are less likely to suffer a reaction when using essential oils rather than fragrances.
Parabens
A group of preservatives in cosmetics and skin care. Known to have mild hormone-like effects and not very good for your body.
Aluminum
Commonly found in deodorants as aluminium chlorhydrate/zirconium/chloride/sulphate or phenoslphate. Some scientific studies show that long term use of aluminium compounds have been linked to Alzheimer's, breast cancers and chronically inflamed underarm tissue.
